You can manage the activity of a team of hairdressers and barbers with online appointment scheduling.
The daily view allows you to see the activity of each hairdresser, and to move appointments with a simple drag & drop:
The weekly view allows you to display this same information, and provides a quick identification of each hairdresser based on the color assigned to them. If you want to save a default view, click the small gear icon in the upper right and click Set as Default View.
The services offered here are haircuts. It is useful to indicate their price in order to display your catalog of services and prices within your online appointment scheduling widget. It is a great way to showcase you specialities or unique services.
Create groups of services to direct your customers to the services that most concern them, for instance: Women, Men, Children.
It is likely that the time needed for a coloring allows a hairdresser to serve another client during this time. It is therefore preferable to manage appointment requests for a color by inviting your customers to call you to schedule an appointment.
Staff members: hairdressers
Hairdressers are identified by their first name, or even by a photo. The selection of a hairdresser is the first thing that your customers must choose when making an appointment.
In the appointment booking process, the choice of hairdresser therefore appears first and for this you must choose the mode Service + Staff. However, you can allow your customers to choose their hairstylist at random if they have no preference.
Manual acceptance by the manager or by the hairdresser is possible if you want to review new appointment requests.
Selection of the hairdresser and flexibility in the choice of the schedule
You can configure the solution to fit your salon:
- The time interval between two periods can be configured to 30 minutes, or even 15 minutes for a client to choose their appointment within a quarter of an hour.
- The waiting list allows someone to receive an email if a slot becomes available sooner than their own.
- Finally, the choice of a hairdresser is usually made on their first name, without knowing their last name.
Data collected when making an appointment
Only the following information is necessary for making an appointment:
- First name
- Last name
- Mobile or landline number
- Email address, optionally so as not to block your customers who do not have one
Making an appointment without an email address or telephone number
It is likely that customers will continue to call or come to your salon to make an appointment, for example if they do not have an internet connection and no smartphone. If necessary, you can enter a new appointment from your dashboard, without specifying a telephone number or email address, using the free mode.
Click on Paid by the customer in the appointment details card.
Once paid, the appointment card displays the symbol $:

Notifications by SMS and email
The SMS reminder is very effective for this type of appointment, in addition to the one sent by email, 1 day in advance for example.
Customers who indicated a telephone number landline will naturally not receive SMS.
Not all of your customers will provide their email address, but it's helpful to review the emails you send to those who do.
An example of a message template to customize is that of the completed appointment: do not hesitate to include a link allowing your customers to make an appointment already for the next time: they will thus have better chances to have the slot of their choice.
Do not miss the opportunity to ask your customers how their appointment went if they indicated an email address
The email sent to request this feedback can be changed to replace the review link with reviews of your Google My Business page and thus gain visibility to your show on Google and Google Maps.
And don’t forget to include the link to allow your client to book a future appointment!
